Last Friday

Friday December 8th:
7:30 a.m. - wake up tired with smallish hangover from Thursday evening out with Nicool.
7:31 a.m. - realize R is coming home at midnight from B.C. Yay!! Smile into blankets. Yawn.Relax.
7:32 a.m. - realize in horror R's boys are arriving today as well and haven't cleaned a thing or shopped for groceries. (still-packed boxes everywhere, excess wine bottles, sex toys, overfilled garbages, what a nightmare...) Jump out of bed.
9:00 a.m. - go to work having taken out garbage and sort of doing a quick clean up. (not very thorough)
4:30 p.m. - come home from work with resigned attitude that I cannot possibly clean whole home in one hour and decide to take a small 10min. nap.
5:45 p.m. - wake up to doorbell ringing, kids arrive.
9:00 p.m. - Kids decide to go to bar, invite me. I agree to meet them after some brief housecleaning (smoking cigarettes).
10:00 p.m. - decide to leave early to meet kids and then pick up R from airport. Lose keys, find them and immediately get my car , then R's car stuck thoroughly in snow six inches from where they were sitting beforehand, call Kdub.
11:00 p.m. - D picks me up and three of us head to airport to get R.
12:30 p.m. - Finally everybody gets home. Have a glass of wine some good conversations and go to bed.

Moral of the story: Clean up after yourself and get winter tires.
